Description

DMDM hydantoin is a preservative that works by releasing formaldehyde into the product.

Uses

DMDM hydantoin is used in shampoos and cosmetics to prevent molds, mildews, and bacterial spoilage.

Another formaldehyde releasing preservative is imidazolidinyl urea.
